Our therapy services include:

Individual Counseling Sessions

Learning to love yourself may be among the hardest and most rewarding things you'll ever do. Individual counseling offers a safe place to explore and resolve personal stressors and issues that may be affecting your quality of life. During each 1-hour session, your therapist in Harrisburg PA will evaluate your situation and apply the best therapeutic approach of treatment to help guide you to a resolution. Each session takes place in a calming, comfortable, and professional space that is both quiet and private to help facilitate conversation and safe exploration of your emotional well-being. Some of the issues you may explore include self-esteem issues, relationship stressors, family issues, career difficulties, stress overload, work/life balance strategies, body image and health issues, and strategies for better communication.

Couples Counseling

Love, like life, isn't perfect. Sometimes disagreements and difficulties in your relationship can morph into larger ongoing issues that undermine the strength of your connection. Having a safe, objective, and non-judgmental space in which to discuss your issues can help you and your partner resolve problems healthily. Couples' counseling also teaches you long-term conflict resolution strategies that help strengthen your relationship and ability to face and resolve future problems head-on. During each session, your therapist will work to understand each partner's perspective and feelings with objectivity and help facilitate healthy communication that moves you toward a resolution.

Family Counseling

They say family is your anchor during rough waters. But what happens if family problems are the trigger for rough waters in your life? Family counseling serves as a haven to identify, discuss, and explore resolutions for a variety of family difficulties that prevent you from maintaining a healthy relationship. Each family counseling session is held in a calming and comfortable space to encourage openness, objectivity, and the absence of judgment. Your therapist will work with your family to evaluate problems and understand each member's perspective. Your therapist will then apply the most appropriate treatment to help resolve your issue and strengthen your family's relationship.

Children and Adolescent Counseling

Children and adolescents are not things to be molded, but people to be unfolded. Like adults, children and adolescents deal with their own sets of issues, whether they're fueled by growing up changes, social problems, family life issues, divorce, or trauma. When issues in childhood and adolescence are not resolved, the repercussions can affect the youngster for life. During this type of therapy, a therapist will work with your child using a mix of proven therapeutic approaches including play therapy, art therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy to evaluate his or her needs and enact a solution.

Neurofeedback Training

What if you could have a visual window into your brain? What if you could see how your brain waves move and change when you are exposed to certain stimuli? Neurofeedback, or biofeedback, gives you this information to help you retrain your brain to remain stable and more productive during times of stress. During a neurofeedback session, an electroencephalogram (EEG) monitor tracks your brainwaves as you are exposed to visual and audible stimuli in the form of a video game. Computer software then produces a visual record of your brain activity, highlighting brainwave activity during certain stimuli. These ongoing training sessions aim to strengthen your brain, calm it, and improve its stability and ability to self-regulate during stress. This type of therapy is ideal for treating a wide variety of mental health conditions, including:

  • ADD/ADHD

  • Anxiety

  • Autism

  • Bipolar Disorder

  • Depression

  • Developmental Delays

  • Emotional Trauma

  • Extreme Stress
